A New Home For UK Adventure Cyclists
There’s a whole world of cycling in the UK that we don’t see represented. An amazing pocket of creativity and adventure that doesn’t fit into our existing media outlets.
A few years ago, we launched The Old Chalk Way, a route to designed to explore some of the best gravel available in Southern England while experiencing the neolithic history along the way. What surprised us the community that grew from it. Now we want to see how far that can go.

Work with Us
With decades of experience on branded campaigns, editorial projects and tourism launches, we’ve got capacity to create a range of content across various mediums, from stories and interviews in print and digital to photos and video.
Got a project you’re working on? We’d love to hear from you…
The idea of a platform which represents our experiences on the bicycle was hard to shake. And so, on modest terms we introduce PINCH FLAT — a subjective, independent take on riding bikes.
We’re not quite sure how we see this thing evolving just yet but starting with the Pinch Flat Journal – a platform through which to creatively share stories, routes and our love for the bike – we want to see who else we can hook with the joy of rolling.
Who?
We’re bikepackers and route creators, roamers and couriers, writers, designers and photographers. All that time on bikes has changed how we think, our interactions with the spaces and people around us and become our community.
The way we see it, more people on bikes is good news. Healthier bodies, cleaner cities, more connection, more good times.
Chris Hunt / Editorial
Having worked in magazines and online editorial projects for over a decade, Chris has found his work revolving more and more around the bike, from launching new multi-day routes, reviewing gear and writing environmental trail reports. He starts PINCH FLAT on modest terms whilst working part-time as a freelance writer and cargo bike courier in Bristol.
Tommy Spitters / Design
Starting out as an editorial designer on books and magazines, more recently Tommy’s work has been in-house for brands including Rapha, Nike and Apple. Woven with hours spent on the bike navigating Central London, Tommy brings a huge amount of talent and experience to PINCH FLAT.
Ben Wormald / Routes
Ben and Chris are partners in crime when it comes to exploring their own physical capabilities including racing ultra-distance as a pair, but maps are Ben’s one true love. The Old Chalk Way was his brainchild having been similarly unable to shake the idea from his head over a few years. Many of the photos you’ll see on these pages are from Ben.
